Mahoning County Democrats Gather For Long-Awaited Public Meeting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Not even Bob Hagan, one of the area’s oldest and most passionate Democrats, could remember the last time the Mahoning County Democratic Party held a public rally. It was why Wednesday evening’s town hall meeting was so significant. Mahoning Democrats have a new chairman and this was his first chance to rally his base.

“Our first town hall. This is a really great turnout,” said chairman Chris Anderson.

I would like to announce that I have been designated a “Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate” by two of the nation’s most important gun safety advocacy groups:  Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund.

I am both pleased and proud that they have recognized and appreciate my support for reasonable gun safety legislation and I pledge to do all I can as a member of Congress to make our nation, our communities, and our families safet by doing everything possible to prevent tragedies like yesterday’s Highland Park massacre from happening in the years ahead.

Thanks to  Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund for all you do. I look forward to working with you in the months and years ahead.
